Smashbox Softbox Look Gold & Brown

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to post this one yesterday, but lots of summer fun things ended up getting in the way so I wasn't able to. Another awesome thing that happened yesterday was new HAIR!!! I will post pictures shortly on that! Totally excited about it :)

So, this gold and brown eye came again from the softbox pallet from Smashbox and this used Nectar, Lucky Penny, and Sienna. If you want to check out what those colors look like - see my first entry where I have swatches and photos of the pallet.

I put Nectar up under my brow, Lucky Penny on my lid, and Sienna in my crease. I love this look a lot and had no problem blending in the colors. I didn't end up using the eyeliner again because I still seem to have issues with it showing up. I think I am going to play with that by itself at some point here and see what I can do to get it working with my skin.

So here is the look that I came up with:

Hope you enjoy!

Bath and Body Mini Haul!

I was able to take advantage of a sale that Bath and Body Works had recently where a lot of items were discounted online. I placed my order on Monday and I got it today! Super fast shipping = Bonus A+ to me!

I ended up picking up a lot of travel size items because they were less than half off I believe. Here is what I got!

I was tempted to buy a whole lot more, but I wanted to keep it under a certain amount and it ended up to be about $40 or so worth of products for $20 including shipping. So I definitely can't complain there!

So far I think my favorite scents out of everything I got is the Vanilla Pistachio hand soap. Smells delicious!!

Did anyone else take advantage and grab some great deals?

Smashbox Softbox Pallet Neutral Eye Look

Hi Everyone!

So, I was able to complete a super soft, insanely neutral eye look for you today based off the Smashbox Softbox that I talked to you about yesterday. I didn't put anything on my face, so I took shots based just off the eye look.

I feel as though neutral looks are kinda hard to show up well on camera, so I hope that the photos show up well enough that you can get the idea of the look. I also included some photos of the individual colors themselves so it helps you as well! I hope that the darker, smokier looks that I do with this pallet will show up better for you :)

<3 Enjoy!

I first primed my eyes with MAC Paint Pot in Painterly
And also this Smashbox Photo Finish primer that comes with the Softbox Pallet.

Then the color Sugar all over my lid

Then Nude in the Crease

I took Vanilla and highlighted underneath the brow

I used the bronze cream liner that came with the pallet as well as Urban Decay's 24-7 eyeliner in Whiskey and finished up with Hard Candy Curl up and Dye Lash Curling Mascara.

The colors were pretty smooth when applied and with any eyeshadow, work best applied over a primer. The bronze cream liner seemed to glide on pretty smooth, however, wasn't showing up on my skin as well as I thought and that's why I added the Whiskey pencil over top just to give it a little more.
I definitely want to try a little more with the darker colors, so the next look I have for you will be a soft smoky kind of eye look.

Thanks for visiting!

SmashBox SoftBox

Hey Everyone!
I have started this blog so that I can have a space to write more, take more pictures, work on more makeup looks, do product reviews and so forth. I hope this will help a lot of other people as well!

To kick things off, I bought about a week ago a pallet from Smashbox called the Softbox.  I am still playing around with most of the colors, and making up some eyeshadow looks, but for now, I will post some pictures here along with some swatches.
I am super excited to try this out a bit more and the full review with look photos will be up shortly. So far, I am liking it! The shadows are very soft and smooth. They seemed to glide on my hand while doing swatches fairly easily.
The colors are wonderful to have in your collection! They are neutral and super versatile. It comes with 9 eyeshadows and 2 cream liners.
So without further ado, here are some of the photos and the colors associated with them. I can’t wait to do a look so I can show you guys!
Take care for now! <3
